WHAT IS YOGA? PHILOSOPHY, PRANAYAMA, MEDITATION...

YOGA

"How do we know what God wants from us? God doesn't want anything from us at all, but we are the ones who still want something from Him. Everything we receive comes from God. Everything that happens happens through God's grace.”

Yoga offers a comprehensive system of techniques, exercises and methods to achieve physical, mental, social and spiritual health. Today, in almost every sphere of life, more and more demands are placed on everyone, so methods for achieving inner peace and releasing tension are so necessary for the health of the body, mind and soul.

Yoga offers a way to help yourself in this regard. The needs and demands of the modern age require us to take greater responsibility towards ourselves in order to maintain and strengthen our connection with our inner Divine nature. Yoga offers a path that is adapted to the present time and does not lose the originality and effects of ancient yoga teachings.

Yoga means "connect" or "unite". Practicing yoga helps us understand ourselves and have the skills to overcome the problems we face. We ourselves can understand the essence of life and the meaning of our existence. In this way, we can more easily manage everyday demands and worries, and we acquire the ability to realize the cosmic principle and find eternal bliss in the unification of the individual being with the cosmic being.

Yoga is the supreme cosmic principle. It is the light of life, the cosmic creative consciousness that is always awake and never sleeps, that always was, always is, and always will be.

Since ancient times, wise men and saints have sought to know nature and the universe, which they discovered through their meditations. The saints, known as the Rishis of India, discovered the laws that govern life on the material and spiritual levels. They discovered the interconnections that exist throughout the universe. All this wisdom is contained in the ancient texts known as the Vedas. Many of these findings are discovered and confirmed by modern science.

Yoga is practiced all over the world in yoga centers, educational institutes, health and rehabilitation facilities, and sports and spa centers. It can be adapted to your physical condition, so everyone has the opportunity to practice yoga.

STYLES OF YOGA

The diversity of people and their needs, to which they seek answers for themselves in yoga, are behind the emergence of various types of Yoga. You can embark on a journey of finding the most suitable one. Each style appeals to a certain group of people with certain needs. The fact that a certain style of Yoga does not suit you does not mean that it is wrong. It just means that it is not suitable for you and you have to keep looking.

What a teacher, that's a different experience. Each teacher has his own unique approach, and two lessons with the same name will look completely different under the guidance of two different teacher.

This is another wonderful feature of yoga. It intertwines with the life and soul of the teacher and every practitioner. Try, discover, don't expect, let yourself be inspired. In each lesson, with each new teacher, you can discover a new detail, and have different experience of an asana that you have practiced hundreds of times, as if you were practicing it for the first time.

If the first teacher and his approach did not suit you, do not be discouraged, try someone else or visit another yoga studio. There are also tons of videos and lessons online. You may find that you are more comfortable exercising in the privacy of your own home because you feel more relaxed in your own home.

PRANAYAMA

We know from our own experience that people have different natures - they differ in their assumptions, way of thinking, feelings and set goals. In keeping with this diversity of human nature, there are four yogic paths that take into account the different inclinations of people.

Our Self (our atma) comes from the supreme Self (paramatma). The nature of the Supreme Self is bliss (ananda), and since our inner Self is a part of the Supreme, every person strives for it in order to be happy. All people, whether they believe in God or not, whether they are aware of it or not, are ultimately seeking happiness.

True and lasting happiness (ananda) cannot be found in the external world. It lies within ourselves. True and lasting happiness can only be obtained through wisdom, meditation and Divine grace, and can only be attained by one who seeks it and strives for it with a sincere heart. God's grace is everywhere and always with us - like the sun that always shines, even when there are clouds in the sky. To realize God and realize His grace, we need to drive away the clouds of ignorance from our consciousness.

These four yogic paths are not separate from each other. On the contrary, they are linked, they condition each other. When we think of God and are full of love for our neighbors and nature, then we are bhakti yogis. If we help others and support them, we are karma yogis. When we meditate and perform yoga exercises, we are called Raja yogis, and if we meditate on the meaning of life and seek truth and reality, then we are Jnana yogis.

PRANAYAMA EFFECTS

Pranayama is conscious and deliberate control and regulation of breath (prana – breath, ayama – control, regulate). With each breath, we receive not only oxygen, but also prana. Prana is cosmic energy, a force in the universe that creates, preserves and changes. It is a basic element of life and consciousness. Prana is also found in food, which is why it is so important to eat a healthy and wholesome vegetarian diet.

By consciously directing prana in the body, we can improve the vitality of the organism, rid it of poisons, increase its resistance, gain inner peace, achieve relaxation and a clear mind.

According to mythology, every creature has a predetermined lifespan by the number of breaths. Thus, by slowing down the breath, the yogi "saves time" and prolongs life.

"The most important thing is to detach yourself inside. Until you detach yourself internally, your quest for external independence will be unsuccessful. Above all, give up bad qualities and remove the stones of ego, anger, lust and hatred from your inner path."

When people think of the word meditation, different connotations come to mind - a Buddhist monk sitting in the distant Himalayas, esotericism, spirituality, the unknown.

However, modern science confirms that there is no need to worry about meditation and that we do not necessarily associate it with esotericism. Today, many beneficial effects of meditation on our health, physical or psychological, have been proven. Reducing stress, improving the body's immunity and relaxation response, increased creativity and ability to learn, even reducing the risk of senile dementia - these are just some of them.

Just as we train our body through movement, meditation is a training of the mind. In it, we train the ability to concentrate our attention on one point without the mind running off into the past or the future. However, this does not happen immediately, and it is also a source of frustration for many new meditators, who feel that if they are thinking while meditating, they are doing it wrong. However, the effect of meditation many times comes only later, regardless of whether we "succeed" or "fail" in developing the incoming thoughts while meditating.

"The goal of meditation is not to get rid of thoughts, or to ignore them..., the goal is to learn to be aware of them without the need to elaborate them and to repeatedly shift our attention to the object of meditation."

I am MAYA

From a young age, I was fascinated by the world between "heaven and earth". I always wondered what happens when we die? Who / What is GOD? Does it have any form? Is there Heaven, Paradise? Are our souls eternal? What happens when the soul leaves the body? Is there life on other planets? I was interested in all this since I was a child in elementary school.

Life goes on, you study, you train... from a young age I was guided to discipline, which I also acquired thanks to daily training in sports gymnastics. What was the impulse when deciding where to go to university. I am a Physical Education teacher. I taught in high school for several years.

One night I had a dream that I received an email: an invitation to work near the sea. When I woke up the well I still had the dream in my head...at that time there were no mobile phones like today, I turned on the computer and there was an email... I called my mother: "Do you know what happened?" I told her the story and she answered me: "Believe in your dreams". So I found myself in the south of Spain, I don't even know how or why.

As an adult, my curiosity led me to travel around Asia - China, Tibet, Nepal, India, I visited Buddhist and Hindu temples and tried to understand the difference between all religions. I discovered that in reality everything is One.

  • one religion: humanism
  • one nation: humanity
  • one God: universal God

I remember when I came to my first yoga class as a client / that was in the last century/, I was bored. As a former gymnast, the "simple" positions /Asanas/ didn't fill me with anything. There must be something more to it, I told myself. I wanted to get to the bottom of the whole system. I wanted to know what Buddhist monks / yogis experience during meditation, what breathing exercises /Pranayama/ they use, get to know their philosophy.

I wanted to learn from masters who have been instilled with the wisdom of yoga since their early childhood, they have it in their genes and can pass their experiences to others.

One afternoon I was meditating on the beach at sunset and "info from heaven" came to me: "Go to India".

Thus began the story of the search for oneself, the charm of yoga and God's Love. My journey led me several times to the Himalayas, to the town of the "mother of yoga" Rishikesh. Where the holy river Ganga springs near the city. I studied:

Hatha Yoga Teacher Training, Yoga Alliance, Shiva Yoga Peeth, Rishikesh, 300h

Asthanga Yoga Teacher Training, Yoga Alliance, Tattvaa Yogashala, Rishikesh, 500h / frist, second series /

Ayurveda massage, Ayurveda massage therapy and basics of Ayurveda. Ayurveda Nirvana, Rishikesh

  I am certified also:

        Power Yoga     Flyhigh Yoga

        Child Yoga       Pregnant Yoga

For more than a decade, you could feel a "piece of Love" on my classes at the hotels Don Carlos, Vincci Estrella del Mar, Marbella.

During those long years of searching and learning, I learned that Yoga leads a person to what all people desire: to a meaningful life in harmony, peace, happiness and Love. Through yoga, we enter into connection with the spiritual forces in the cosmos and recognize our true Divine Essence, our True Self. The word yoga means "connection", "unificacion". Yoga teaches us to live in connection with nature, to tolerate and honor all living creatures. Yoga is not only physical exercises. Yoga is the science of body, mind, consciousness and soul. It allows everyone to find the true meaning of life. He who knows and lives the true inner Truth will never be driven to wage wars and commit violence. Yoga teaches a person to see his unity with other living beings, to live in harmony and love with all creation.

" FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS"

" GOD IS LOVE, LOVE IS GOD."

"LOVE OF GOD WILL SHOW YOU THE WAY OF KNOWLEDGE, THE WAY OF LIGHT."

WHY EXERCISE INDIVIDUALLY?

Traditionally, yoga was taught individually - the teacher had his student, to whom he devoted himself fully. Even then, teachers understood the importance of an individual approach meeting the needs of individual students. Today's group classes can be fun, enjoyable and stimulating, but individual classes remain very popular among yoga center clients. Who are individual lessons for and what is the reason for their popularity?

Private lessons allow an intimate view of your workout. They are suitable for beginners, advanced as well as clients with a specific goal, after an injury or with a health limitation. The teacher prepares an exercise set based on the specific needs and requirements of the client, thereby eliminating the possibility of injury and maximizing the positive effect of exercises aimed at the spine and musculoskeletal system.

New clients may feel insecure about practicing in front of other, more experienced yogis. During individual lessons, the teacher devotes himself fully to you, gives you specific instructions and checks your correct progress. If you are interested, individual yoga classes will help you integrate into group classes.

Individual lessons allow the more experienced to move forward in their yoga practice and delve deeper into yoga philosophy, meditations and breathing exercises. The teacher will also help you create an exercise set, which you can then practice at home without any worries. Individual lessons are also excellent for clients who are busy and short on time.

Clients choose individual lessons for the following reasons:

  • Getting to know the basics of yoga
  • Special attention and exercise set created for the client "tailored"
  • Healing from injuries, during which the client learns to modify the exercise set
  • Therapeutic practice to improve health problems (mainly problems with the spine and musculoskeletal system)
  • Privacy and time options of the client
  • Deepening meditation practice and familiarization with yoga philosophy
  • Special attention and exercise set created for the client "tailored"

If you are interested in this approach to practicing yoga, I will be happy to discuss your requirements with you.
